Ode to December First

To some of y'all, today marks the countdown until Christmas--25 days! To others of you, it's about the countdown until the New Year--31 days!

To us, it's all about December 30th! :)

That marks my LAST (VERY LAST) Lupron shot!

I had initially been posting about my journey with Lupron every week, but I decided that it would be best for me to *not concentrate* on it. Blogging about it caused me to dwell on the subject and side-effects. I know it's not over 'til the fat lady sings, but I'm here to tell you I HAVE KICKED MENOPAUSE BUTT! :)

Seriously y'all, I was scared to death that I'd be bat-poop crazy on the stuff.  It left me with plenty of tearful moments, hot flashes, and crappy sleep patterns, but I DID NOT get crazy (at least in my opinion)  Haha! :)  I have a new respect for truly menopausal women--I know it's not fun!

Anyhow, 30 more days on this Lupron journey! Then, we gotta work on getting my body back to normal-yippee!! :)
