Wife of a smokin' hot firefighter and the father of my handsome sons, Cale, Wade and Bentley. Born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma, BOOMER SOONER! Daughter of the King and friend to some great people.
I LOVE anything pink and sparkly, my fireman, my family, camping, NASCAR, craft shows, Paula Deen, dirt roads, cowboy boots, fall season, and mascara!
This is somewhat of a confession post. I would not consider myself a work-a-holic, but my work hours require 12+ hour days. I have to do something to break-up the mundane, sleepy afternoon hours. Sooooo....... I have a small television in my office at work, and lately I've been keeping it on all. day. long. I've developed a typical television routine over the last several weeks that goes a little something like this:
The Doctors, 9am
The View, 10am
I always swear I'm going to stop watching this show, these women drive me nuts. It's like a train wreck that you can't take your eyes from.
Rachael Ray Talk Show, 11am
Then comes the fun stuff.
My afternoon revolves around a series of trashy reality shows. I don't have a set afternoon schedule, since it depends on whatever MTV decides to air. This is where the confession and embarrassment factor comes in to play. Please don't judge me on my preference of shows ;)
My favorite thing about Wednesday.....reflecting on everything that I'm loving :)
I'm LOVING that today is my sweet, silly Momma's (Bentley's Mimi's) birthday! :)
Happy Birthday, Momma! Thank you for all the love and support you continually give us. We feel so spoiled rotten to have you in our lives.
I'm LOVING that this weekend is the celebration of Easter! (Start sermon.) Other than Christmas, this is probably one of my favorite holiday's to celebrate. I LOVE this time of year, and I love that during the springtime season we get to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for each of us. Jesus used this "holiday" to make all of us new in Him, offering us eternal life with the Father. I find it so fitting that we celebrate Easter during the Spring, when the old things are dying off and new things are blooming into beautiful plants and trees. Also, April is a month near and dear to my heart. I lost my Granny in April 2009 and my Gramps in April 2010. Thanks to that undeserved sacrifice that was made for us all those years ago, I didn't have to say "good-bye" to those loved ones. Through this sacrifice, I will be united with them again. Oh GLORIOUS DAY! :) (Sermon over.)
Brooke and Paige, Easter 2010
I'm LOVING that I had a weekend full of my girlfriends last weekend. :) LOVE these girls so much.
Last but not least, I'm LOVING these purchases that I made:
Bath and Body Works, Country Chic
Wristlet from New York and Company
for $7.50.....STEAL!
I've been sitting in my office all afternoon staring off into oblivion trying to keep my little squinty eyes open. We had a wonderful, but super busy, weekend. I couldn't find time to sleep--so I think I'll catch up tonight with a 7pm bedtime!
I worked just shy of 60-hours last week, stayed up until midnight on Friday preparing for a wedding shower on Saturday, spent most of Saturday continuing to prepare for the wedding shower, hosted a wedding shower with TONS of people, stayed up until 1am cleaning my house post shower invasion, woke up early for church on Sunday, entertained (or just sit and visited with) my mom, grandma, and nieces Sunday afternoon, played two softball games on Sunday night, and finally found myself nestled in my bed at midnight. Phew!
So, whenever I'm finally recovered from my busy bee weekend I'll update you with pictures and what not.
Through Neely, I've discovered TOP FIVE THURSDAY.
This week: CELEBRITY CRUSHES.
Some of you may not be aware of the "arrangements" that Alan and I have made ;) We each committed to a TOP FIVE celebrity list (but, each hold the power to change it), so if we ever actually meet one of these people it totally won't be cheating. I understand the reality of this happening; however, a girl can dream, can't she?!
FOUR CONSTANTS:
Carl Edwards
Dierks Bentley
(The Namesake of my Son, Bentley)
Jason Aldean
John Cena
NOTABLE MENTIONS
These men rotate on the TOP FIVE list.
Christiano Rinaldo
Johnny Knoxville
(When he's not on drugs.)
Matt Holliday
He probably is the solid #5 currently, especially since it's baseball season :)
I like this Friday Fashion thing, so I think I'll keep showing y'all the things that I'm loving! Really, it gives me an excuse to surf the web and drool over really cute things--there's a method to my madness.
This week in fashion: ROMPERS.
I bought a couple of cute little rompers for my cruise vacation, and I fell in. love. with. them. Seriously. You can dress 'em up or dress 'em down. They were easy to pack, so that's initially what appealed to me. I'll probably be investing in a few more as I find the good deals this summer.
Imagine these:
Paired with GIANT, AWESOME sunglasses:
And, a fun dangly necklace:
Voila! I think this might be my favorite go-to outfit for the summer!
Happy Hump Day, friends! As you read this, I'll be well on my way to the great Texas Motor Speedway for an entire weekend of camping and racing f-u-n! :)
I'm LOVING the weather prediction for our weekend away. You can bet I'll be soaking up as much sun as possible all. weekend. long!
Wed Apr 06 Partly Cloudy / Wind 84°/62° 0 %
Thu Apr 07 Partly Cloudy 88°/66° 0 %
Fri Apr 08 Isolated T-Storms 91°/69° 30 %
Sat Apr 09 Partly Cloudy 91°/69° 20 %
Sun Apr 10 Isolated T-Storms 91°/57° 30 %
I'm LOVING the fact that I'll be seeing my favorite Nascar camping buddies in a matter of minutes and/or hours! Alan and I think of them as family--that we vacation with two or three times a year at the track. So fun!
I'm LOVING that Carl Edwards consistently runs good at TMS, which gives him a good chance to take back his lead in the point standings. After Martinsville, Kyle Busch (I can't believe I even said his name on my blog-yuck!) took the lead from Carl Edwards, but there's only a 5-point margin.
I'm LOVING that we will be spending Wednesday evening at a local joint near the track listening to the sounds of No Justice. Yaaaaay for Oklahoma bands!
I'm LOVING that we will get to see these precious faces! :)
I CANNOT wait to see Tyce's little legs carrying him around.
Last, but not least, I'm LOVING that I get to share all of these FUN, MEMORABLE moments with this guy! I know many of you don't know Alan's personality--but, all these pictures I post of him on my blog tell all :) He's just as funny, crazy, outgoing, and loving as he looks!
I generally don't work on Mondays, but I picked up a few extra hours yesterday since I'll be out of town the remainder of the week. Hence, the delay in my weekend post.
We had a wonderful weekend, full of family and friends!
I won't do too much talking--I'll just let the pictures tell the story.
